Best Time to Visit:

Shoulder Season: November to December and March
  • Best time for lush landscapes, dry season and underwater adventures.

  • Many newborn animals make their appearances, and it’s a gorgeous time to see flamingos and migratory birds.

High Season: July to October and January to February
  • Best time to see the Great Migration.

  • These months are great to visit Kenya’s parks because the grass is thin, there’s little rainfall and sightings are easier as animals congregate around waterholes.

Low Season: April to June
  • The “long rains” hit in April and May, and sometimes in March too.

  • Best time for smaller crowds and lower prices.
